Our Story

Equals Now is a feminist collective working on gender equality and women empowerment through radical activism.

Our primary focus is learning, movement building and digital activism to advance the rights of women & girls, non-binary people and other minority groups.

Since its inception, Equals Now has worked on campaigns to raise awareness on sexual violence, online and offline conversation on unconventional topics in the Gambian society.

Our motivation is to see a world where women, girls, non-binary people and other minority groups can access spaces and be included in the gender equality agenda in their communities regardless of their background or limitations.

Our mission is to be a force in challenging patriarchal norms and existing systems of oppression through inclusive and innovative programming for the liberation of women, girls, non-binary people and other minority groups.
